Overheated converter due to engine missfire

Cracked converter due to overheating

Plugged pipe due to brocken converter

Damaged after "cat" O2 sensor shown

Beware of ANY shop, if they are telling you need a "CAT" in order to pass an Emission Test. Have the converter tested for efficiency first...why? Because in most cases the "CAT" will cost in excess of $200-300 & up...

On many 1994/95 and all 1996 & up vehicles if there is ANY problem with the converter, the OBDII on-board computer WILL store code(s). If you are been told "the CAT is shot" and the "MIL" (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) or "SES" (Service Engine Soon) light
is NOT on - Think Again and HAVE a second opinion...
